The Southern Illinois Pagan Alliance was founded in the fall of 1998 to promote Networking, Community building, and Service opportunities for the Pagan community of Southern Illinois and the surrounding region. SIPA also provides education about Paganism and outreach to the broader community. Our goal is to promote unity, equality, and acceptance for all spiritual paths.

    Southern Illinois Pagan Alliance was founded by Tara Nelsen and good friend and business partner Don Elwell to give folks in the region a networking system and a semi-structured pagan organization to be a part of. Founded in the fall of 1998 we are still growing in leaps and bounds. The SIPA News newsletter is growing every issue and we encourage people to submit articles, interviews, poetry, art, etc. Membership is only $10.00 a year ($15.00 if you want an official SIPA bumper sticker!) Add 3.00 if you want a print newsletter. SIPA hosts outings, fund raisers, events, and open rituals and gatherings and is always open to new ideas. throughout the year so feel free to check in to see what's next for the community!
